Matylda Soja (b. 2001, Gdańsk), raised in Podlasie, right by the eastern border of Poland, where the main attractions are silence, space, and the sky. The calm green she has always been in love with. She went away for her studies just like her mother—to see what it's like by the sea. She quickly fell in love with its blue. With the horizon, where one blue meets another, yet they do not admit to being the same color. In 2025, in one of the shipyard halls, she defended her Master of Fine Arts degree with honors at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. She completed her internship in Porto, at the Casa São Roque Art Center. She was drawn to Portugal by the vision of the ocean. The need to experience a kind of blue previously unknown to her. Naturally, she fell in love. With the ocean, with the horizon, with the waves. And with those blue, green… sea-colored eyes.

Matylda Soja (ur. 2001, Gdańsk), wychowywana na Podlasiu, tuż przy wschodniej granicy Polski, gdzie główną atrakcją jest cisza, przestrzeń i niebo. Spokojna zieleń, w której kochała się od zawsze. Na studia wyjechała tak jak mama – zobaczyć, jak to jest nad morzem. Szybko zakochała się w jego błękicie. W horyzoncie, gdzie jeden niebieski styka się z drugim, a mimo to nie przyznają się do bycia tym samym kolorem. W 2025 roku w jednej ze stoczniowych hal obroniła z wyróżnieniem tytuł Magistra Sztuki ASP w Gdańsku. Staż odbyła w Porto, w Centrum Sztuki Casa São Roque. Do Portugalii przyciągnęła ją wizja oceanu. Potrzeba doświadczenia wcześniej nieznanego dla niej rodzaju niebieskiego. Oczywiście zakochała się. W oceanie,
w horyzoncie, w falach. I w tych niebieskich, zielonych… morskich oczach.
